Register and Reserve Housing for 2009 Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium

Registration and housing reservations are now available online for the 2009 Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium: Science and Multidisciplinary Management of GI Malignancies, to be held January 15-17 in San Francisco, California, at the Moscone West Building. The event is hosted by ASCO in partnership with the American Gastroenterological Association Institute (AGA Institute), the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), and the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO).

The 2009 Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium will offer educational sessions and abstract presentations focused on different gastrointestinal disease sites, with sessions devoted to esophageal and stomach cancers; pancreatic, small bowel and hepatobiliary cancers; and colon and rectal cancers offered over the course of the three days. General sessions throughout the meeting will focus on prevention, screening, diagnosis; multidisciplinary treatment; and translational research. In addition to the general sessions, this year’s meeting will offer several limited attendance ticketed events: Translational Research Topic Forums and Meet the Professor Sessions. The Translational Research sessions are a new addition to the program this year, and will focus on cutting-edge bench to bedside research across disease sites.

Practitioners from all subspecialties are encouraged to attend and to contribute to the exchange of ideas and information promised at this unique event.

The deadline for housing reservations and to take advantage of the discounted early registration rate is December 12, 2008.
